Debbie Moffat, CEO, ProPet Software

Our founder and CEO is a dog person, but she is also a technology buff. There, we said it. Debbie Moffat is an entrepreneur and owner of Keshet Kennels/Rescue in Ottawa, Ontario. Before her career in the pet industry, Debbie was the president of EDUCOM, an enterprise software company, for over 9 years. Debbie was also recognized by the CATA (Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance) when they presented her with the Sara Kirk Award for outstanding business leadership. Debbie has lived and worked around the world, in places such as Japan and Israel, giving her an unmatched global perspective on the potential for technology in the pet industry. Debbie’s revolutionary work in the technology field, combined with her love of dogs, provides her with a unique sense of how software can better serve the pet industry.

Debbie has always loved dogs, and her dream of opening a kennel became a reality in May 2005.  Since Keshet opened, Debbie has acquired over 400 customers and employs over 15 full and part time staff members. With the demands of a rapidly growing business on her heels, Debbie went in search of a kennel management software that could meet her needs. She did not find it, so instead… she created it. Once she identified that a critical tool was missing for pet care professionals, she set out to create a simple and highly efficient software solution for people in the pet industry. ProPet Software Inc. was created by a team of developers, designers, and marketers who communicate with Debbie on a daily basis about what a real pet facility wants and needs in software. ProPet is trying to revolutionize the pet industry by helping pet professionals to manage their businesses with organization and ease.
